Hello all,

As you have probably heard by now, a friend of the college hockey world, and
more importantly OUR family, Brian Fishman passed away on Wednesday night.

I have spent the better part of the morning trying to figure out why this
happened ... but of course, I just sit here totally in shock and at a loss
for words.

Scott Monoghan spoke with Brian's parents and his mother asked him a favor
that I'd like all of your help with. His mom wanted to hear from people who
knew Brian to find out what our recollections of him are. He didn't speak of
his family much to us and according to his mom, he didn't speak of us that
much to his family. His mother told Scott that he loved his job at USA
Hockey and that he was happy with everything.

I think this is something that we can gather and speak on quite easily.

So please, email me a little message of a recollection you may have about
Brian. No matter what it is. Whether it's him working his ass of but driving
us nuts in the Michigan Press Box or it's about going out drinking and
carousing with him -- she'd love to hear it.

I may have left some people off of this note -- if you know of people who
would have a good little memory -- have them email it to me at

Thanks for your help and if you get a chance today, tomorrow or next week,
stop and give thanks for everything you have and for the time we had with
Brian.
