        Well, you're also playing for your *Conference*
*Championship*.  Maybe that doesn't mean so much in Hockey East (BU
fans certainly don't seem to care much about it), but for most ECAC
teams, it's what counts.  The NCAAs are just gravy.

        The Clarkson Rule wouldn't mean very much in a sixteen-team
tournament, since there would be no byes.  But you could reward
double-champions by assuring them a place in their own regional.
