The score is a lot closer than the game was, and goaltender Jason Mitchell
was 4.8 seconds away from getting the first ever Maverick shutout, but Air
Force denied him the honor. UNO dominated this game, which could have easily
been an 7-0 final. UNO had at least 4 unconverted breakaways, and at least 3
rebound chances where they missed a wide open net.
These 2 teams play again tomorrow. UNO moves to 7-16-1 in their inaugral season.
UNO went 1-7 on the power play, Air Force 0fer. Air Force's goaltender
stopped 33 of 35 shots.
