Well unh was clearly the best team. After going through the motions on
Friday night and being saved by Bekar/Krog, the shorthanded duo, they came
out storming Saturday night. After Mowers scored at 1:01, Maine tried to
give it a go and for about five or six minutes there was good up-and-down
action. However once Nolan scored the second, school was out. UNH
currently leads HE overall in scoring and is second in goals allowed. In
addition they are tops in penalty kill and goaltender Matile has had 3
outstanding games in a row and has his GAA had 2.60 and save % over .900.
UNH is starting roll like they did early last season, although I think they
are doing it against a better quality league this time around. We shall
see, it is a long season. As for Maine, no defense and apparently they
cannot rely consistently on Michaud, who was yanked twice in the same game
by Walsh.

In Dave Hendrickson's interview with Commish Joe Bertagna at the start of
the season, it was stated by Bertagna that he would not attempt to recruit
members of other leagues to fill out the HE slate. Clearly, with only 9
teams, HE needs to expand for scheduling purposes but, based on Harvard
Joe's comments, expansion will not come at the expense of the ECAC.

Can't comment

Great forwards but I've seen Clemmensen twice and looked at the box scores
too and he seems to be a bit shaky. He's held up so far but I don't think
he has been tested much witness 15 saves vs. St. Lawrence and only 17 (out
of 21 shots) vs. Clarkson

Just a return to normalcy. Top to bottom HE is a better league this year,
as they have been most years since the split. Last year was an aberration
but I do respect any team that can put up the defensive numbers Yale has.
But, of course, who have they done it against. The RPICH (when does that
start) will show something.

Re: Walsh, though my convictions remain strong, I am through talking about
him on the list.
