This was a great game.
The first period was scoreless, and shots on goal were about even (10-9,
Minnesota)
the second period the Gophers came out with a vengance and scored two, one
almost immediately.  the Tigers came back just before the break and scored
one.
Gophers outshot  CC 15-9.
The third seemed about even for both teams, and was scoreless for a while
until CC scored to even the game.  Almost immediately the Gophers replied
with a goal, taking the lead again.
A couple of minutes later the Tigers came back, and regulation ended with the
score even at 3-3.
the Gophers dominated the early part of the OT pd., but CC stole the puck and
brought it back down to the Minnesota zone to sneak it past DeBus.  Forty
seconds into OT.
 
What a game!  the Gophers hadn't been swept in back-to-back weekends since
79.
When was the last time CC swept the Gophers at Mariucci??
 
sorry i don't have all the stats...i'm sure someone will respond with the
official numbers.  That was just one great college hockey game!
