BC dominated the third period and turned a close game into a
disapointing loss for the UNH Wildcats at the
Whittemore Center tonight. UNH came out with revenge on their minds and
scored the only goal in an evenly played
   first period.
The edge goes to BC in the second period with both teams pawing,
grabbing, and holding. Gravallese let some things go and the last five
minutes were chippy and ugly. BC scored about midway to tie the game.
During a rough third period, BC took advantage of some defensive
lapses by UNH to score two goals and then added
an empty netter to solidify the win. The goalie for BC made some fine
saves to keep the Wildcats off the scoreboard.
The Eagles' physical play took the UNH skaters out of any offensive
drives and both teams will have some aches and pains
in the morning. The official could have prevented some of the abuse if
he had made more calls earlier.
In any event, BC is off to a good start in Hockey East and UNH
needs to play better against Merrimack Sat. night.
