The CCHA is adding two teams, Kent State and Notre Dame (for 1992/1993,
right?). Does anybody know yet what effect this will have on scheduling?
With the NCAA rules change allowing only 34 games, I know that playing
each conference opponent 4 times will no longer work out, but I'm
wondering how many games teams will be able to schedule outside of the
league after scheduling inside it. CCHA teams have too few non-conference
games as it is; it would be a shame to lose what we have.

I read in *Hockey News* that Hockey East plans to split into two divisions
so that they can schedule more league games and thereby save travel costs.
Doesn't it seem like inter-league play would lead to more interest in
college hockey and therefore benefit college hockey in the long run?
(I mean, it was far more interesting for me to see Cornell tie Michigan
late and then win it overtime than it is to see Lake State do that again
and again and again...)
