BOWLING GREEN ICERS TO PLAY WESTERN MICHIGAN IN LAS VEGAS
In conjuction with the Mid-American Conference sporting activities
surrounding the Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 14, the Bowling Green State
University hockey team's regulary-scheduled game at Western Michigan on
Saturday, Dec. 16 will now be played Friday, Dec. 15 at the Thomas & Mack
Center in Las Vegas.
The Central Collegiate Hockey Association game is set for a 3:30
p.m. (PST) face-off and will be followed by a Las Vegas Thunder
(International Hockey League) contest.
The Falcons' Thursday, Dec. 14 game at the Ice Arena against
Michigan has been moved up to Saturday, Dec. 2. Game time will still start
at 7 p.m.
As a result of the UM game being moved up to what was originally an
off weekend, the Falcons' on-ice practice sessions now will commence
Monday, Oct. 9 instead of Monday, Oct. 2. The traditional Orange and White
intra-squad scrimmage slated for Friday, Oct. 7 has been cancelled. BG
will have only four on-ice practice days before opening the season Friday,
Oct. 13 at home against Western Ontario.
The other change to the hockey schedule has BG playing Sunday, Dec.
10 against Ohio State at the Ohio State Fairgrounds Coliseum instead of
Saturday, Dec. 9 at the OSU Ice Rink. Starting time is set for 2 p.m.
