Subject RPI 6-Brown 1

Life in the schizoid ECAC continues as Brown forgets to board the bus for the
ride over on Route 7 to the Fieldhouse. Brown gets the first score as Martino
knocks in a rebound to make it 1-0. Bur
But they then decide to stop skating, and the Engineers are allowed to put on an
exhibition for the last regular season home game for the 10 departing seniors.

RPI goes on to break the game open scoring four goals in the first period
Askew, Bartel, Healy, O'Connor). They then decide to dominate the second period
destroying Brown's flow in the second period and extend the lead to 5-1 on
another Bartel goal. Third period is a senior fest with Regan closing out the
scoring to make the final 6-1. Senior goaltender plays the last 2:30 and comes
up with two saves for a wildly cheering Freak-out crowd.

Saturday night again proves a savior for the Engineers. And by the looks of
things the top four remain the same as at the start of the weekend as all four
teams split, as well as the next two teams of Colgate and Vermont, if St.
Lawrence hangs on.

I'll try to post an opinionated piece on the weekend tomorrow.
