The following is in regard to all of the responses to Eric Burton's questions
about violence toward officials and bench clearing brawls, as well as questions
about face-off location after an erroneous icing call.

When quoting the rule book, make certain to mention which rule book you are
referring to(organization and date). Rules are changed every year(every 2 years
for USA Hockey) and there are differences in rules between the NCAA, NHL, USA
Hockey, National Federation of High Schools, etc. In postings of 2/2 and 2/3 I
saw references(though the sources were not mentioned) to both NCAA and USA
Hockey rule books.

My point is this: When making mention of the rule book, be specific about the
rulebook you are citing so as not to cause any undue confusion.
