During tonight's BU-Harvard game, NESN reported that they have worked
out a deal with HE to televise two more games in the upcoming weeks
due to the ongoing NHL labor dispute.

The additional games are:

Sat Dec 3 Boston College at Northeastern (7 pm ET)
Sat Dec 10 Maine at Merrimack (7 pm ET)

This means that NESN will have doubleheaders each of the first two
weekends in December with games on Fri & Sat nights both weekends.

NESN will also go head to head with WABU-68 and WNDS-50 on the nights
that the new games will be telecast. WABU has BU games on both Dec 3
& 10, and WNDS has Lowell on Dec 10. Maybe NESN really needed
programming, but this sudden glut of the market could hurt everyone.
On the other hand, NESN reaches a much larger audience, I believe,
than either WABU or WNDS. It's nicer to have a tough choice to make
than none at all.
