Regarding attendance counting methods, here at Michigan, the announced
attendance is the number of tickets sold for the game. This method can
really screw up your totals when the game is during winter or spring
break and the actual crowd looks to be 1,000 to 1,500 less than the
announced attendance. But not having turnstiles, your options are
limited. You can do this method and account for ticket revenue or you
can count tickets taken at the game and have a "true" attendance count.
Counting tickets sold sounds easiest to me.
