The end to a tough weekend for New England College; they were hammered by UConn
9-1 on Friday. Tonight they started out in such a defensive posture that their
1st shot on goal didn't come until 7:20 of the 2nd period. (The other three
shots came on a powerplay.) This score could have approached double digits in
the 1st period alone if it wasn't for some acrobatic heroics by goaltender Ian
Fredricks who played an outstanding game despite the score.
