I am not sure how it is at other schools, but I know at Bowling Green and most
likely all the Ohio state schools, grad students cannot participate in club
sports.  When I was doing some grad work at Bowling Green, I enquired about
using the indoor rifle range, and I was told that the only people who could use
that were the club team and the ROTC; and that as a grad student, I was not
eligible for the rifle club team.  When I asked about why that was so, I was
told it had to do with how the club was funded from the student fees, which
were apparently distributed differently from Graduate student fees.
