UMASS DARTMOUTH AGAIN RANKED EIGHTH IN USCHO.COM DIVISION III POLL

MINNEAPOLIS, MN–For the second consecutive week, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s hockey team is ranked eighth in the United States College Hockey Online Division III poll.

The Corsairs were ranked eighth last week for the first time. The ranking is the highest ever achieved by the program.

Manhattanville is ranked first in the poll, ahead of Wisconsin-Stout and Oswego State. St. Norbert, Neumann and Wisconsin-River Falls occupy the next three positions. Wisconsin-Superior, the host team for this year’s Division III Frozen Four, is rated seventh, while Castleton State is rated ninth and Amherst 10th.

The Corsairs have two of the top two scorers in the Eastern College Athletic Conference Northeast in junior Jeff Grant (Burlington, MA/Austin Prep, 17 goals-21 assists-38 points, first with 2.00 points per game) and senior Kyle McCullough (Danvers, MA/Boston Jr. Blackhawks, 14-19-33, tied for third with 1.83 points per game), and the top goaltender in sophomore Jeff Green (Medway, MA/Valley Jr. Warriors, first with both a 1.78 goals-against average and a .927 save percentage).

UMass Dartmouth, which is 38-2-1 during its past 41 games, is 17-1-1 overall and 9-0-0 in conference play this season. The Corsairs will return to action Wednesday night at Salve Regina.
