NEW LONDON, CT.--Sophomore forward Robbie Tesar (Lake Bluff, Ill.) scored his second goal of the night with 12:17 remaining and Jake Henry (Winchester, Mass.) put in the game-winner with 9:38 to play as Connecticut College (4-4) handed 12th ranked UMass Dartmouth (10-1-1) its first loss of the season with a 4-3 triumph at Dayton Arena Tuesday night. Henry finished with a goal and an assist for the hosts. Trevor Bradley (West Hartford, Conn.) added two assists for head coach Jim Ward’s Camels. Greg Parker (Trenton, Ont.) stopped 23 shots in net for the winning side.

“I was very impressed with our determination tonight,” said Camel Head Coach Jim Ward. “In the third period, we did all the little things that we talked about in pre-game. It was a great team effort for us.”

Senior forwards Jim Foley (Brockton, MA/Catholic Memorial HS) and Kyle McCullough (Danvers, MA/Boston Junior Blackhawks) each finished with a goal and an assist for UMass Dartmouth.

The Corsairs built a 3-1 lead in the middle period. Junior forward Tyler Vrolyk’s (Boylston, MA/New England Junior Falcons) tally at 9:36 of the second provided the visitors with a two goal lead. But the Camels came back in the third. Chris Lynn (New Canaan, Conn.) cut the lead to one with 16:33 remaining. With 12:17 to go, Tesar netted the equalizer. Brett Moore (Medfield, Mass.) and Bradley assisted on the score. Moments later, on the power-play, Jake Henry scored what proved to be the game-winner. Ryan Joyce (Dorchester, Mass.) and Jason Miller (Winnetka, Ill.) assisted on the score.

The Corsairs removed sophomore goaltender Jeff Green (Medway, MA/Valley Jr. Warriors) for an extra attacker with 1:05 remaining, but couldn’t solve Parker, who stopped all nine shots in the final frame. Green had 27 saves for the Corsairs, who were out shot, 31-26.

The game was the final contest of the fall semester for UMass Dartmouth. The Corsairs will return to action when they host Assumption in an ECAC Northeast Conference game Saturday, January 6th.
