I think that BC will be improve tremendously in the second half of this
season as the freshman adjust to the college game. Furthermore, BC will
only get better next year with one of the top recruiting classes for the
thrid straight year.
 
BC may have had some problems since Len Celarski left but Jerry York
has corrected the problem and BC will return to the dominate status it
has enjoyed in the the 80's.
 
With BC's return to prominance, recruiting for other schools in Hockey
East and the ECAC will be affected. For example, last year BC beat out
Harvard for Blake Bellifuille (top Hockey East rookie scorer and one of
the highest scoring freshman in the country). In this year's recruiting
class, BC beat out BU for Bobby Allen who many consider to be the
number one recruit in the country. BC also beat out a number of other
schools for high scoring forward Brian Gionta.
 
With recruiting like this, BC should be able to hold up its end of the
Hockey East / ECAC series in the upcoming years.
