In the papers in Ottawa this week, they mentioned that Vermont sophomore
goalie Nolan McDonald had left to play Major Junior with Hull of the QMJHL.
(The Ottawa Citizen called him an "experienced" goalie, much to my amusement.
I didn't know that playing 1 game in just over one season made one
"experienced.")
 
Could some of the Vermonters around let me know where McDonald was on
Vermont's depth chart? I know that Tim Thomas is to carry the load this year,
but would McDonald have been the second or third goalie?
 
I don't see this as a great loss for UVM. I saw McDonald a lot in Junior,
and I thought he was pretty bad then. He never was able to be a starter in
Junior A. I really don't understand why Hull signed him this week.
