Sorry this is a little late (got behind on my email), but in a feature on one
of the early morning TV shows they interviewed Christopher Reeve and it was
noted that Reeve currently is spending $400,000 a year for his medical care.
Reeve is in worse shape in that respect than Travis is since Reeve still needs
ventilator help, but for anyone to categorize Travis's pockets as jingling
is as flat out stupid as it is offensive.
The fact that there may be someone in even worse circumstances than Travis
is undoubtedly true. He may be in the far, upper 1% of all people who deserve
help, but I'm willing to conceed that he isn't #1 on all of Earth.
But I'm not gonna spend my life in a hopeless search for the single, most
desperate individual on Earth (since to help anyone but this single, most
desperate individual could be construed as being improper). I'll help Travis
as well as others who deserve it and leave it to the terminally upset to
wring their hands about improper distribution of misery relief.
Jingling pockets? Gimme a break!
