Goaltender Luciano Carravaggio who has spent 1,487 of a possible 1,520
minutes in net for the Huskies enjoyed a nice long nap yesterday according
to defenseman Brian Hunter (injured huskie I talked to at the B-ball game
last night).

So whats the point you say? The point is the Hockey team left for Denver
at 5 AM without him! Luciano has been diagnosed with Mononucleosis (stop
drooling erik and Carol!) He will proably miss at least 2 weeks......
Those of you who have had mono know it could be lots longer.

Thus MTU will go into the Denver series with 2 freshmen goaltenders,
Pete hamilton and Matt Kucway, who have a combined 27 minutes of
action between them (I said quit drooling ERIK and Carol!)

Next weekend the Huskies will be home for Winter Carnival against
Minnesota (the rest of you should understand the Erik and Carol comments now!)
And it looks like Pete Hamilton, a resident of Stillwater Minnesota
will get a chance to step into the Carnival limelite against the Gophers.

We are about to see what our Freshmen netminders can do. Good luck Pete
and Matt.

On another note, if there are any Hockey-l people that also happen to be network
types, and are attending INTEROP in Las Vegas at the end of March, let me know
as I will be going. (who knows, maybe we can have the first hockey-l gathering
ever in Las Vegas! ;-) )
