Alaska fairbanks 2 0 1 0 3
Air Force 0 2 1 1 4

Fairbanks got two goals within 14 seconds midway in the first, and it
looked like it might be a long night. The falcons to their credit
fought back and scored in the second on a 2 on 1 rush while on a power
play. The second goal came when (i think it was) john decker did his
successful cherry picking act and converted the breakaway. Corey
spring put the nanooks up in the third, but andy veneri tied it
putting in a rebound from in close on a power play. The game winner
came with 13 seconds remaining as air force picked up an errant
clearing pass and came in 2 on none.

Referees mike brandt and steve boche worked the game. I thought boche
need not have called a couple of penalties that put airforce up by two
skaters, but he was not as bad as i've seen him in the past. The
linesman was todd gow.
