This was the toughest game Colgate has had thus far. The first period was
close, but Vermont missed a few oportunities and probably should have gone
into the lockerroom with the lead. In the second, Colgate was out-muscled.
The entire game was hard hitting on both sides, but in the 2nd, Colgte just
couldn't keep up. The third was again fairly even with both teams taking
their share of penalties.

To me, the game was won on defense. Colgate did an excellent job of clearing
out the rebounded shots, but Vermont kept the shots away to begin with. I was
impressed by both teams power-play killing. They both successfully weathered 5
minute majors w/o being scored against. It actually appeared the Colgate was
more succesful offensively while short-handed.

You may have noticed, Martin St. Louis racked up another 4 points (1-3) tonight
for UVM. This puts him at 14 points (3-11) after only 4 games...a most
impressive start.

Injury notes: Mike Harder was back in after resting out a week with deep-thigh
bruise suffered in the first game of the season, but did not look like
        he was 100%

Senior Defenseman Jason Craig was sitting out for a second week with
a broken right hand, which occured in the 2nd game of the season vs
        UM-Lowell.

Junior Defenseman Brad Dexter has yet to play due to a broken ankle
incurred on October 18. Dexter was acadeically inelligble last season,
but was previously the leading blue-line scorer.
