A disappointing split with St. Cloud State this weekend.  After 2 games
the biggest problem for the Badgers seems to be goaltender Jon
Michelizzi.  Trying to replace Duane Derksen won't be easy and he
doesn't seem settled in yet.  For a senior, he hasn't had much
experience.  But, it's early...
 
The brightest spot for the Badgers is defenseman Ulvis Katlaps.  He may
be the pest puck handler the Badgers have had for quite some time.  A
pleasure to watch him play the point on the Badger power play.  No
hesitation in him at all.  His crisp, clean, accurate passes should make
for very good power play this year.
