thanks to all who participated.
and also, thanks to those who emailed from Detroit. It made us
stay-at-homes feel like we were at the games (except that those of us at
home apparently had better sight-lines).

The big contest winner this year was me. I beat my son in all six contests
so I finally have bragging rights for the year.

I had some ideas for the contest next year and wondered if anyone had
opinions pro or con.

I am going to require that everyone pick the winner and score of each game
and the number of overtime periods for each regional as well as the
nationals. I can easily fix the spreadsheet to calculate the total number
of overtimes as well as the total number of goals.

Then there would be a winner for each of the regionals, the nationals and a
total. I haven't decided whether or keep all six contests yet as this seems
like too much. I was ready to drop 4, 5 and 6 after this year except that
all the early round upsets this year really allowed a larger variation in
contest winners than in the past.

As always, any questions about the contest results will be answered and any
comments about this and future contests are appreciated
