COLLIN TRACY HONORED BY ECAC NORTHEAST CONFERENCE
 
CAPE COD, MA– Freshman goaltender Collin Tracy (Medford, MA/Medford HS) of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s hockey team has been honored for his performances last week. Tracy has been named Eastern College Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week. 

Tracy stopped 35 of 36 shots for a .972 save percentage last week in two appearances for the Corsairs, including his first start of the season.

He stopped 25 of 26 shots in a 4-1 win at Franklin Pierce Saturday night. He also stopped all 10 shots he faced in relief against Salve Regina last Wednesday night, foiling a penalty shot in the third period.

 “Collin stepped up to the plate when we needed him the most, coming in against Salve and stopping all 10 shots he faced, including a crucial penalty shot in the third period,” said UMass Dartmouth Head Coach John Rolli. “.”He was superb in the 4-1 win at Franklin Pierce Saturday, turning aside 25 of 26 shots.”

The Corsairs are 11-8-1, 9-3-0 in the Eastern College Athletic Conference Northeast. They will return to action when they host Wentworth in an ECAC Northeast game, at the Hetland Arena Wednesday evening.
