Bob, Ed, et al.

As a frequent contributor to USCHO, I have learned to take the good with the
bad. No doubt there are some real flamers on there, there are plenty who
want to just stir the pot. But there are also many thoughtful posters like
Brian Gentry (BU), Mike Machnik (Merrimack) and even a UNH a senior who goes
by the name of the Da Big Bad Cow (real name Dave) who mostly sticks to the
issues. There have been some very good discussions on the board this year,
the issue of Mark Morris' dismissal being one that quickly comes to mind.

The problem with USCHO is that the reasonable voices, more often than not,
are drowned out by the college kids and near college kids who are unable to
keep the emotions in check and have little or no historical perspective.
But is that much different that the early days of Hockey-L? I vividly
recall some of the vitriol that was spewed on this board back not so many
years ago.

To be honest, I would rather discuss issues and games in this forum than the
other one but, folks, there aren't many here who are listening, so I go were
the people are.
