The Ice Griffs score 5 goals in the second period, more than enough to defeat UConn, 5-2.  Three goals in the first three minutes of the period chased Huskie goalie Jason Carey to the bench.

Much more offense from Canisius tonite.  Last nite they had only 15 shots on goal in the 3-3 tie.  Tonight they had 35 SOG.

Next up for the Griffs:  a home/away non-conference series against rival Niagara.
