Friday night at Bright the Harvard Crimson beat the Colgate Red Raiders
6-1. Harvard got goals from Mark Moore, Ben Storey, Chris Bala, Jeremiah
McCarthy, Steve Moore and Henry Higdon as they used their relentless
/ monotonous checking game to slowly grind the Raiders into submission.
Colgate could not get their game on track and only Chad MacDonald was able
to light the lamp.

The Red Raiders started the game fast and looked to have a pretty talented
pass and go game. However after the Crimson got a couple of goals, they
seemed to lose their way. With lines like Andy McDonald, Dru Burgess and
Dan Wildfong motoring up the ice I'm not sure why the Raiders couldn't get
it together.

Even in an important league victory, Harvard is certainly a tedious team
to watch. The scores came from individual efforts as passing is obviously
not an item in the team defense school. Fantastic freshers Bala and S
Moore continue to lead the Crimson, but even they are not as sharp after a
year of grinder hockey.
