On the front page of the Victoria Times-Colonist this morning:
Headline: Oilers Carry Canada's Torch
Accompanying picture: Todd Marchant and Mike Grier celebrating Edmonton's
win over Dallas.
Hmmmmm. :-)
ObCollegeHockey: A week or so ago, they reported that Victoria Salsa
defenseman Rob Vega signed with Wisconsin. Vega is a native of Wisconsin
who came to Victoria last season. From what I've seen of him, he has a
good shot, and is an OK offensive defenceman. However, he offset that
with the fact that he was good for one defensive boner per game.
ObFutureCollegeHockey: Maine fans take note: there's another Kariya
coming. The youngest one, Martin, will be a 16-year-old next season and
will play in Victoria.
See you later,
John
