Tonite in Providence, Cornell defeated Brown 6-4. The Big Red
really jumped out early scoring two quick goals and took a 3-1 lead into
the first intermission. Brown stormed back in the second on some Cornell
defensive lapses and were ahead 4-3 at one time. After that, it was all
Cornell as the Big Red closed the game with 3 unanswered goals. Freshman
sensation Kyle Knopp had the hat trick for Cornell. Jason Elliott earned
the win in net despite giving up some shaky goals. Elliott made some key
saves in the 3rd on Brown scoring chances. Cornell finishes Ivy League
play undefeated (9-0-1) and returns home to face RPI and Union next
weekend.
