Team U.S.A. slaughtered the San Jose Sharks Sunday Night at the Cow Palace in
Daly City, California before a crowd of 10,725. Team U.S.A. scored on three
of its first six shots against Sharks goalie Arturs Irbe, and led 4-0 after
two periods. The Sharks didn't score untils the third period, and failed to
convert on their first five power plays. The Sharks were roundly booed
during the game, and at one point even the Zamboni driver became to object of
derision. George Kingston, San Jose's coach, said he was actually pleased
with the Shark's overall game, but stated, "Games like this can be really
frustrating. We have everything to lose, they have everything to gain."

Team USA played a quick, accurate passing game. Their power play was
especially impressive. The Sharks defense was slow and Arturs Irbe was
beaten badly. The Sharks were comming off a tough 1-0 loss to Vancouver on
Saturday.
