BAUER/CCHA OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  Randy Holmes, a junior center from
Ohio State University, has been selected the Bauer/CCHA Offensive Player of the
Week for his performance the weekend of January 20-21, 1995.  He played junior
hockey for the Kingston (Ontario) Voyageurs.
 
Holmes, a 5-9, 180-pound native of Napanee, Ontario, had six points (four
goals, two assists) as Ohio State split at Illinois @ Chicago.  In Friday's
loss, he scored Ohio State's second and third goals of the game, while in
Saturday's 7-1 victory Holmes added two power play goals (including the game-
winning goal) and two assists.
 
COOPER/CCHA DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  Chuck Thuss, a senior goaltender
from Miami University, has been selected the Cooper/CCHA Defensive Player of
the Week for the weekend of January 20-21, 1995.  He played junior hockey for
the Sarnia (Ontario) Ranson Bees.
 
Thuss, a 6-0, 185-pound native of Arkona, Ontario, allowed three goals as Miami
tied and won against Lake Superior.  In Friday's 2-2 overtime tie, Thuss kicked
away 27 shots (.931 saves percentage) including five in overtime.  In
Saturday's 2-1 victory, he stopped 30 of 31 shots including a penalty shot with
51.7 seconds remaining in the game.  For the weekend, Thuss made 57 saves on 60
shots for a .950 saves percentage.
