i just met peter and chris ferraro at a pickup game here in atlanta. they
were so cool. peter kept trying to set me up for the score, but i kept
screwing it up. we got to talking a little about hockey, about the
championship year at maine, about the pros. i was just in awe watching
these guys play.
here's what happened:
i was sitting on the bench at a pickup game just about an hour ago, and
the guy on my left started talking to the guy on my right. they started
talking about the atlanta knights' chance of repeating this year, and then
they started talking about the olympics. the guy on my right started
talking about how the u.s. team had the most speed, and how they were a
great team up until the olympic tournament, but that when the olympics
started, everybody on the team became selfish. he then said that he had
done well individually, and that he was the second-leading scorer on the
olympic team. so, i asked him his name. Peter Ferraro.
being a michigan alumni, i had always previously harbored some envy/hatred
(thoughbeit friendly, rivalry-type hatred) toward the ferraro bros. i'm
happy to say that they were both pretty cool guys. just thought you all
might like to know.
