Whats this I hear??
I dont know where this rumor started, but heres my $0.02......
If they do, there is no better program to consider than Penn State.
I have several friends from I played with in Philly who played ther
for several years, and they were always very good, they won the club
national championship once and I think made to the finals another
year. I always asked them why they dont play a dI or at least dIII
schedule, which as it turns out they do, just most of the weaker teams.
However, we have had this discussion before, and they tell me it is
not in the school's best interest:
The school does not pay them a cent for anything
The team packs the arena for most home games
The shool would have to work the old familiar NC$$ gender issue back
into the equation
I see their point. It really doesnt make sense for them to go dI, as
much as we all would like to see it.
