Good afternoon,

Below is a message from EBSCO reporting that there will be a pause on
content updates in EBSCO's Discovery Service (EDS) for select Gale
databases from Dec 13 2021 to Jan 31, 2022. During this time, the most up
to date content can be found in the Gale Power Search or from the Gale
database directly via the A-Z list on the Digital Maine Library website.

FYI.

Content updates for select Gale databases in *EBSCO Discovery Service* (EDS)
will be paused from mid-December 2021 through the end of January 2022.
During this time, we will enhance the data for the two databases below:

   - Gale Health and Wellness (edsghw)
      - Gale OneFile: Health and Medicine (edsgih)

Customers do not need to make any changes to their EDS profiles to take
advantage of the improvements, as these enhancements will be automatically
applied.

*Which Gale databases will be affected?*

The 7 databases bolded below will have content updates paused:

   - *Gale Academic OneFile*
      - Gale Academic OneFile Select
      - *Gale General OneFile*
      - *Gale Health and Wellness*
      - Gale OneFile Computer Science
      - *Gale OneFile: Heath and Medicine*
      - *Gale OneFile: Informe Académico*
      - *Gale OneFile: News*
      - *Gale OneFile: High School Edition*
      - Gale OneFile: LegalTrac

No other Gale databases in EDS will be affected.

*Will this impact users?*

During the maintenance period, EBSCO will be receiving updated content (new
content, changes, deletions) from Gale but they will not flow through to
EDS users. In addition, end users of EDS may notice that new records are
not being added during this time. We will complete the project as quickly
as possible to minimize disruption.

*What is the timeframe for the project?*

The project is expected to start on or after December 13, 2021, and extend
through the end of January, 2022. We anticipate resuming currency no later
than January 31, 2022.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. This work is necessary
to continue to provide you and your users with the highest quality content
from our partners.
