I switched to Citrisolv, which has a safer MSDS than Goo Gone, and is just
as effective. I find if I dampen the label and *let it sit* for 5-10
minutes, it will peel up nicely. If you don't let it sit, it won't work
nearly as well. I also find that leaving the label intact first rather than
peeling up in shreds helps it come off better. And If you let it sit too
long it will dry out again and you have to start over. :)
An old gift card also makes a good scraper.
