There are a number of items covered in this story:

- Hockey East's new officiating system has been approved.  This article
mentions a 3-man crew (referree, asst. refree and linesman), but the
original story mentioned Hockey East 4-man crew (2 referees, 2
linesmen).  It is unlear which is approved.  (see:

- June 27 press conference has been scheduled to announce 2007 and 2008
Frozen Four locations (after meetings and presentations on the days
preceeding).  Included in this is regional site locations, of which we
understand Portland, Maine has submitted a bid for.

- Regional ticket prices have been standardized and now can be
purchased in individual game alotments.

- Tournament selection was tweaked only slightly.  The committee left
the "banding" in place, but now has allowed itself the flexibility to
schedule match-ups between conference foes in the first round.

- The faceoff rule has been increased to 18 seconds from 15 seconds.
