The RPI Engineers played a surprisingly good game tonight but wound up
on the short side of a 3-2 Cornell victory. RPI jumped out to a 1-0
lead in the first three minutes after the puck bounced off the famous
Zamboni door and in front of Cornell's David LeNeveu. Cornell took over
in the second scoring three unanswered goals, two from their captain
Steven Baby. The third goal, the product of a very questionable
tripping call at center ice, proved to be the game winner. RPI comes
back with a power play goal in the third but can't get the equalizer,
despite heavy pressure at the end of the game.

RPI continues its descent into the ECAC cellar. Whether this game
serves as an inspiration remains to be seen, but the Engineers at least
salvage a little pride for the weekend after Friday night's snoozer.
