Lakers' look for CCHA record: Should Lake Superior win their final two CCHA
regular season games on Feb. 22-23 at Western Michigan (the Lakers travel to
Kent this weekend) they will set the CCHA record for points in a season (56/
old record 55 by MSU '89-90).
Ferris State has best CCHA season ever: The Bulldogs, with their overtime win,
on Saturday now have 14 CCHA wins this season, most ever in league play by FSU.
Ferris State has won 20 games overall this year, most since the 1980-81
season.
Michigan sets school win streak record: The Wolverines recorded two victories
over Western Michigan this past weekend to raise their win streak to 14 games.
Bales approaching OSU single season save mark: Ohio State sophomore netminder
Mike Bales is three saves shy of the Buckeye single season record of 1060 held
by Mike Blake ('80-81). Bales needs 36 saves in OSU's four CCHA games left to
set the single season CCHA save record. Glenn Healy, now of the New York
Islanders, set the mark with 950 saves in CCHA play for W. Michigan in '84-85.
Numbers, Numbers: Since the CCHA went to nine teams for the 1984-85 season,
the first place team has averaged 51 points; second place (45 points), third
place (41 points), fourth place (36 points), fifth place (31 points), sixth
place (27 points), seventh place (23 points) and eighth place (19 points).
CCHA Game-of-the-Week for Feb. 24th: The regular season finale of the CCHA
Game-of-the-Week, taped on Feb. 23rd and aired on Feb. 24th will feature either
Lake Superior at Western Michigan or UIC at Michigan State. A determination

LSSU (0-2), MIAMI (2-2), MICHIGAN (1-1), MSU (3-1), OSU (1-3), WMU (3-1).

weekend's schedule is on the first page. The final weekend features Lake
Superior at Western Michigan, Ferris State at Miami, UIC at Michigan State,
with Bowling Green (F) and Ohio State (S) playing a home-and-home series.
Michigan entertains Kent on Friday and Alabama-Huntsville on Saturday.
