I was reminded of the earlier discussion on the regulations against the
use of the term "Final Four" in referring to any championship except the
hoop one, when I saw this note on the inside of the Men's Ice Hockey Handbook.
I'm reproducing it with "NCAA" instead of "NC$$" for this purpose only.
 
"NCAA, NCAA seal, NCAA logo and NATIONAL COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION
are registered marks of the Association and use in any manner is prohibited
unless prior approval is obtained from the Association."
 
So, I would suggest that everyone follow lead and use "NC$$" instead so that
you don't run the risk of being sued because you didn't check with the
head honchos in Kansas before posting your article.
