Mark,
As "someone who's in-basket is inundated daily with mail of little interest" I want to thank you for forwarding John MacKinnons entry. Email from Hockey-L is the only email in my inbox of any interest whatsoever, and I thoroughly enjoy reading each and every one of them (sometimes more than once - was the email about plucking the yew from Hockey-L?). Plus knowing other people's picks, including Robin's, is fun also (some story about the Emperor's New Clothes goes here). Being careful is way overrated.

After harping for all these years about sending your contest entry to me
directly and not to the list, it seems as if I sent an acknowledgment and a
copy of John MacKinnons entry back to the list instead of to him directly.

I apologize to the list members. I'll try to be a bit more careful next
time.
