Colgate took advantage of their opportunities and defeated Union tonight
by a score of 5-1 in Hamilton.
Jordan Webb tied the game at 1 early in the second period for Union, but
Colgate's Scooter Smith scored twice in a 1:12 span a few minutes later to
put Colgate in front to stay.
This victory makes the oft-crowded ECAC standings even more so. Colgate
moves into an 8th place tie with Vermont for the final first round home ice
playoff spot.
Colgate hosts RPI tomorrow while Union goes into Lynah Rink at Cornell.
