I thought that was pretty strange too. The whole thing with the UAA mascot
looked scripted and at first I thought it was just someone dressed up like a
ref but soon realized that it was the actual ref. It looks like Noeth's
desire for the limelight wasn't fulfilled during that "skit" and he had to
make sure he got more notice during the game.
