An update on yesterday's post:
Greg Quebec does NOT have a broken ankle. In the BU game vs. BC (Dec
6th) he went in for a break-away, was tripped up and went
flying into the boards. The injury occurred when the BC player then
fell on his ankle from behind.
Quebec pulled ligaments in his right ankle. In doing so, the two bones
which go down to the ankle separated more than they should. A screw was
placed through these bones to reduce the space while the ligaments
heal. The surgery took place December 12th. If all goes as planned,
the screw
should be removed by the end of the month/early February. He then will
be able to begin skating. He has been rehabbing and working out on a
regular
basis. There is a good chance that he will be back with a couple of
weeks to go in the regular season.
