I don't profess to be a cardialogist, but I'll reserve my right to complain
if he screws up the bypass... Refs get paid to do a job. It's their choice
to be on the ice, and I expect them to perform up to a quality level. Yes,
it's a fast paced game. Yes, they have to watch all aspects of the game and
an entire ice surface. Yes, they have to make split second decisions.
That's their job. I expect them to do it well, and to be quite honest, the
quality of officiating in Hockey East has definitely been on the decline. As
the man who pays my salary gets on my case if I don't perform up to
expectations, so too will I get on theirs if they don't perform.
