The College Hockey Discussion List Poll for January 19, 1994:
Teams were given 15 points for a first-place vote, 14 for a second-place
vote, and so on down to 1 point for a fifteenth-place vote. Total first-
place votes are in parentheses.
Well, two losses to Michigan didn't do it, but a tie to lowly Ohio State
helped knock Lake Superior out of second place in the HOCKEY-L poll, to be
replaced by Boston University. Not a lot of other movement in this week's
poll, although Bowling Green dropped out of the top 15. The Falcons were
replaced by a pair of teams tied for 15th, Alaska-Fairbanks and Minnesota.
The Nanooks make their first appearance of the new year in the poll, while
the Gophers had been absent since the pre-season HOCKEY-L poll.

Dropped out of Top 15: Bowling Green (#14 last week)
The East-West split is hardly a "split" at all this week, as the two regions
are almost identical in their placement of the top 10 teams, and there are
not many differences in spots 11 through 15 either:

Here's the composite of HOCKEY-L and the media polls (WMEB, College Hockey
USA, and Troy Record). Again, there is strong agreement among the top 10
(identical in the case of HOCKEY-L and College Hockey USA).
