If my memory serves me right, the last three NCAA Ice hockey Champion-
ship games have been between an ECAC team and either a WCHA or CCHA opponent.
In fact if you go back to 1985 (RPI National Champs) 4 of the last 6 games had
an ECAC team in there. '88 - St. Lawrence lost in a great OT game to LSSU, '89
Harvard became National Champs, and in '90 Colgate lost to Wisconsin. Notice
all 4 teams are different and that the last three have been under the academic
standard rule.

Don't forget that in 1986, Harvard lost to Michigan (I think Mich. State) in an
intense 6-5 OT game. (Of course, in 1987 UND had Tony Hrkac who almost
sinlge-handedly stomped on Harvard in the semifinals, and then the team stomped
on (I think it was still Mich. State) in the finals).
Just thought I'd bring that up...
