I was under the impression that in conjuction with the auto-bid for the MAAC,
the NCAA was planning to drop the "Colorado College" rule granting an auto-bid
to each conference regular-season champion. Presumably, they would also drop
the requirement that each conference place two teams in the tournament at the
same time.
