From the discussion of ECAC history, it appears that Harvard, Yale,
Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell, and Princeton have had hockey teams at least
since 1961 (I think this was the earliest stat given by Mike.) Penn
was in the ECAC from 1967 to 1979. What happened then? Was the program
completely ended? The last Ivy school is Columbia. Have they ever had
a hockey team? (Of course given their football team's impressive record
why would they diversify?)
Prior to 1961 did the Ivy League play it's own schedule? Dartmouth
must have because don't they hold the NCAA winning streak record from
the 1940s? What about the other Ivies?
