Having some things that I really needed to do , but not wanting to work on
them, I adopted a strategy Bill Fenwick taught me (the scholar may have
outpaced the mentor in this instance) and put together the following tables.
These are from the most recent polls and ratings and show how teams would be
seeded if each of the rankings were used this week (well, a little guesswork
was needed to flesh out the table, but supporting info is also given if you
would like to do some rearranging; it gets a little shaky by the time you get
to the 4th or 5th East seed).
You can guess at the abbreviations by referring to Bill's hockey-l poll. The
top 12 teams were placed in the East or West seeding. The numbers 13-18 show
the rank below the top 12 in the particulare poll or rating.
